Datascape's service oriented architecture provides a "basket" of payment applications for our wireless carrier customers to choose from:

Bill Payments for U.S. Wireless Carriers

Carrier stores and agents accept post pay or prepay subscriber payments, and apply payments near real-time to subscriber's billing records. Payments are posted before subscribers leave a store. Over 100 business rules such as payment range, receipt content, and void processing are selected by the carrier in order to optimize the system for best practices.

U.S. Bill Payments for Global Wireless Carriers

Agents in the U.S. may accept payments from subscribers of wireless carriers located outside of the U.S., for those subscribers that are frequent travelers or resident in the U.S.

Agent Registration and Risk Management

Datascape's Agent Registration Portal allows agents to "on-board" by registering and establishing security credentials. Carriers can then allocated credit to agents based on internal business rules and control agent access to payment services. Carriers manage risk by placing limits on payment volume and have the ability to instantly disable agents. Both carriers and agents can access sales reports, distribution controls, and settlement reports.

Agent ACH Settlement

Agent ACH Settlement provides the most cost-effective, expedient method for settling funds between an agent and carrier for subscriber payments collected in a prior settlement period. Carriers may determine settlement frequency, representment policies, and reconciliation processes.

Host API Portal for Third Party Access

For agents that aggregate payment from a large number stores, or support subscriber operated, unattended POS devices, Datascape provides a Host API that allows a direct connection between an agent's server and Datascape's Host API Portal.

Agent Equipment Payment

Agent Equipment Payment Portal is used by wireless carriers to receive payments from agents for equipment designated for resale to subscribers, such as handsets. Using the portal, agents may view and select invoices for payment, as well as apply outstanding credits, and post payments to the carrier.

Integrated PayPal™ Payments

Datascape has integrated a PayPal interface with our Host API Portal to support real-time settlement of PayPal payments concurrent with posting payments to the carriers billing platform. Subscribers can use a PayPal account to fund a carrier bill payment, and carriers receive the funds at the same instant payment is posted to the billing platform. PayPal accounts may also be used to settle funds between carriers and agents.
